Legal Notice

This Legal Notice applies to the Beeswax Works Wholesale website and ordering platform (the "Site"), operated by Beeswax Works Candle Company ("Beeswax Works," "we," "us," or "our") for its wholesale stockists and distributors ("you," "stockist," or "wholesale customer"). It covers the legal terms governing your use of the Site's content, and is separate from our Wholesale Partner Terms, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy, which govern our wholesale trading relationship, orders, and returns.

Relationship of the Parties

Nothing in this Legal Notice or on the Site creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, or employment relationship between Beeswax Works and any wholesale customer. You are an independent business purchasing products for resale, and you are solely responsible for your own pricing, marketing, representations, and compliance with laws applicable to your resale of our products.

Intellectual Property

All text, graphics, product photography, logos, and other content on the Site are the property of Beeswax Works or its licensors and are protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark laws, whether or not a copyright or trademark symbol appears. Wholesale customers may use approved product photography and descriptions to market and sell Beeswax Works products they have purchased, but may not otherwise reproduce, modify, or repurpose Site content for commercial use without our prior written permission.

Trademarks

"Beeswax Works" and our logos are trademarks and trade names of Beeswax Works Candle Company, whether or not registered. You may reference these trademarks accurately to identify and sell genuine Beeswax Works products, but may not alter them, use them in a way that suggests an exclusive or official partnership beyond your actual wholesale relationship with us, or use them in connection with any product we did not supply.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that product descriptions, photography, colors, or scents will be entirely accurate — our candles are handmade, so slight variation between batches is normal. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beeswax Works and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or your purchase, resale, or use of our products, including loss of business, loss of profit, or damage caused by improper use of a candle. Our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this Legal Notice limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Product Use, Safety & Resale

Beeswax Works candles are handmade from pure beeswax and are intended for decorative and ambient use only. As a wholesale customer, you are responsible for passing along appropriate candle safety guidance to your own customers at the point of sale, including: never leave a burning candle unattended; keep candles away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials; trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm) before each burn; and discontinue use once approximately 1/2 inch (12 mm) of wax remains. Beeswax Works is not responsible for injury, property damage, or loss resulting from a failure to communicate this guidance, or from misuse of our products by you or your customers.

Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (such as social media platforms or payment providers) that are not owned or controlled by Beeswax Works. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site, and including a link does not imply our endorsement.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Legal Notice, and any dispute arising from your use of the Site, is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, except where mandatory law in your own jurisdiction gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere, in which case that law applies instead.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this Legal Notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. Updates take effect once posted to the Site. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
