Partnering with Beeswax Works
Who does Beeswax Works Wholesale supply?
We specialize in supporting independent Main Street shops, boutiques, gift shops and home decor stores. Our own shop experience informs the range: everyday candles alongside pieces for gifts and seasonal occasions, with room for each stockist to choose what suits their customers.
Stockists can sell through their own shops and websites. We do not supply resellers for online marketplaces such as Amazon. Meet shops carrying our candles on our Stockists Near Me page.
We are also working towards supplying stores that require barcoded product packaging. Barcodes are not ready yet, so plan to use your own price labels or POS SKUs for now. If your store requires barcodes, please discuss your requirements with us before ordering.
How do I partner with Beeswax Works Wholesale?
- Apply for a wholesale account through our Wholesale Accounts page with your business and contact details. You do not need to have your first assortment worked out.
- We review each application by hand and aim to be in touch within 3 business days. We will ask if we need any further information.
- Once approved, sign in to see wholesale pricing. Before approval, product pages show suggested retail prices to help you assess the range.
- Build your order, choose your payment and delivery options, and check out. The ordering guidance below will help you plan your selection.
Do you offer exclusive territories?
We do not offer exclusive territories. Nearby shops may serve different customers or choose different parts of the range. If you are considering how the candles would fit in your local area, we are happy to talk through an assortment that feels right for your store.
Choosing and ordering your range
What is the order minimum, and do I need to buy in case packs?
The minimum is $500 before tax and shipping, for first orders and reorders. Many stockists place their main orders around the same seasonal buying periods. An order of this size helps us plan small-batch production, packing and shipping while keeping wholesale pricing workable for both your shop and ours.
There are no case packs. Choose any quantity of any item and mix designs to suit your shelves. You can try a few pieces of a new design without committing to a larger quantity of it.
What should I order first?
Start with everyday shapes: hand-dipped taper pairs, pillars in a small selection of heights, and tea lights or votives. Add decorated or seasonal designs that suit your customers, whether they are buying for their own homes or choosing gifts.
The Everyday Light guide offers more detail on building an everyday range. Browse hand-dipped tapers, hand-poured pillars and tea lights and votives, or explore all candles and beeswax blocks.
If you would like a hand narrowing the selection, tell us about your shop, your customers and the shelf space you have available.
Can I get samples before my first order?
We do not have a sample programme available yet. We can help with product questions and choosing a small mix within your first order, and will let stockists know when samples become available.
How do I reorder?
Sign in to your account and use your past orders as a reference. Keep the pieces that work for your customers and adjust the mix as you learn what sells on your shelves. For a larger seasonal order, let us know your plans early so we can discuss production timing.
Payment and delivery
What are your approved forms of payment?
Orders are paid by card at checkout. Net 15 by application from January 1, 2027: approved accounts may apply for Net 15 payment terms starting on that date.
Where do you ship?
We ship wholesale orders within Canada only.
How does shipping work, and when will my order arrive?
Orders usually dispatch within 7–10 business days during the regular season. Transit time follows dispatch. We ship by courier or Canada Post from Revelstoke, BC, choosing an economical option that gets your order to you promptly.
Standard shipping within Canada is set out in our Wholesale Terms. If you need quicker delivery, choose an available faster service at checkout; any additional charge is shown there. A faster shipping service does not automatically shorten production time. Local delivery is available for eligible addresses near Revelstoke, and shop pickup can be arranged by request.
Rush orders are an exception, but we may be able to accommodate one by special request. Speak with us before ordering so we can confirm what is possible. Many stockists order around the same time, so leave a buffer between ordering and the date you need stock on your shelves. See our Shipping policy for current details.
When should I order for the holidays?
Place your main seasonal order early and leave room for a top-up. For delivery before Christmas, please order by Thursday, December 3, 2026. If you are planning for a launch, market or another important date, let us know that date when discussing your order.
Help with an order
How is my order packed, and what if something arrives damaged?
Candles are individually wrapped in tissue and packed for transit, with boxes marked FRAGILE. Please check your delivery when it arrives.
If anything is damaged, defective or incorrect, email candles@beeswaxworkswholesale.ca with your order number and photos of the shipping box, protective packaging and affected candles. Keep the packaging and contact us before sending anything back so we can help with the next step and, where appropriate, the carrier claim. Our Refund Policy explains the process.
Can I return stock?
Please contact us before returning stock, with your order number or proof of purchase ready. We will help you check the applicable conditions and next steps. Return shipping and a restocking fee may apply; consult the Refund Policy before sending anything back.
Displaying and supporting your range
How should I display stock?
Show candles the way customers might use them: taper pairs beside suitable candlesticks, pillars grouped by height, and tea lights or votives with holders that fit. Taper pairs can hang from a suitable display support, with enough room to avoid bending or pressing against neighbouring stock.
Keep displays away from direct heat, hot lights and prolonged strong sunlight. Display candles unlit. Any lit demonstration must stay attended in a suitable holder, clear of stock and packaging. Find more merchandising ideas in Everyday Light.
What marketing support is available?
Branded matchbooks and postcards are complimentary. Add them to your order, as they are not included automatically. You may also use photos from our product pages on your own shop website and social media.
Do you make custom or private-label candles?
We do not offer custom or private-label production at present.
Questions your customers ask
Use these explanations at the till, with links to the relevant Candle Care guidance when customers want more detail.
What are these candles made of, and where are they made?
They are made with pure Canadian beeswax in Revelstoke, BC. Tapers are hand-dipped and pillars are hand-poured. For guidance suited to each shape, see Care by candle type.
Is it scented?
The faint honey note comes from the beeswax itself. If scent matters to a customer, let them experience an unlit candle before choosing.
Why does the colour vary, and what is bloom?
Beeswax ranges from deep honey to pale gold, influenced by the forage available to the bees. We cannot promise an exact colour match across pieces or deliveries; please ask before ordering for a project that depends on matching colours.
Bloom is the pale patina that can develop on the surface over time. Colour variation and bloom are not, on their own, signs of damage. See the bloom and colour guidance for a fuller explanation.
How can I explain the price to a customer?
The price reflects the beeswax and the hands-on work of making each candle. Help customers choose a shape and size for the way they plan to use it, and point to the product page’s estimated burn time rather than making comparisons with other candles.
How long will a beeswax candle burn?
Check the estimated burn time on the product page for that shape and size. Wick care, burn sessions and the location affect performance, so it is an estimate rather than a guarantee. See the burn-time answer in Candle Care FAQs.
How should I manage the first burn and avoid tunnelling?
Follow the instructions for the candle’s shape and size. A pillar needs time for its melt pool to spread towards the outer edge, without exceeding the recommended session. Tapers do not need an edge-to-edge melt pool. Repeated short burns can leave a narrow channel in a pillar; do not press or reshape warm wax to correct it.
See first-burn guidance and help with tunnelling. If the next step is unclear, send us the product name and a photo of the cooled candle.
What should I do if it smokes or drips?
Put the candle out and let it cool. Check the wick length, loose debris, nearby drafts and whether the holder keeps it upright. Start with about 1/4 inch of wick unless the product instructions say otherwise. Stop using it and contact us if the problem continues.
See wick trimming, why drafts matter and troubleshooting for the detailed checks.
What holder do I need?
Tapers need a stable candlestick with a secure, upright fit. Pillars need a suitable heat-safe plate or tray. Tea lights and votives need the cup or holder specified for the product; votives need a snug holder to contain melted wax. The Care by candle type section explains each one.
How should I store candles at home?
Keep them away from direct sunlight and heat, supported so they do not bend or lean. Avoid heaters and hot windows. See storage guidance for more detail.
What safety advice should I pass on?
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets and anything that can catch fire, and put it out before leaving the room or going to sleep. Use a stable, heat-safe surface and follow the product instructions.
Share Candle safety basics and how to put out a beeswax candle for the full guidance.
